Tomorrow is a Chance to Start Over – New Children's Book/Album

My thoughts on the Peak voting…

Hi dear friends!

Voting for music is weird.

As many of you know I’m a top 20 artist in the Peak Performance Project this year, an incredible artist development program put on by the Peak 100.5 FM.

I feel like I should tell you that voting is now open from Oct 7th-14th……

However, I have very mixed feelings about art as a competition. I’ve come to love and appreciate all of the musicians in this contest and I would find it very difficult to pick just one to win. It’s like a mother having to choose which kid they love best! 😉

Over these past months, we’ve built an incredible community between all of these bands. The strength and talent of everyone has spurred us on and we’re all better for it.

The Vancouver music scene is such a tight knit community and I know that most of my friends also have friends in other PPP bands. With only 1 vote, how do you choose!? Should you have to choose?

Luckily this year, they’ve taken a lot of the focus off voting and the challenges we’ve been issued are worth a lot more in the final evaluation of each artist.

My focus during this program has been to grow as an artist and create more music, art and videos to send out into the world… In the past 4 months I have released 5 new music videos, started recording on 2 new albums (a full length and a lullabyes ep), recorded a song and video to help a charity I strongly believe in and played some amazing shows with incredible musicians.

It’s been an honour to be involved with everyone in the Peak Performance Project and I am absolutely bursting with gratitude! I’ve been inspired by them all and have evolved immensely as an artist because of it.

Thank you to the Peak and everyone for coming along on this crazy-wonderful-beautiful life changing journey with me.
Much love and thanks for reading this! I really appreciate your support!
Hilary 🙂
